(CNN) – A seafood company is recalling nearly 45,000 pounds of shrimp.

Bornstein Seafoods’ one and five-pound bags of shrimp may be contaminated with listeria.

The bags of cooked and peeled, ready-to-eat shrimp were sold in California, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia.

If you have a recalled bag, you can return it where you purchased it for a full refund.

Listeria is a bacteria that can be fatal in young children and the elderly. It can also cause pregnant women to miscarry.

In healthy people, it generally produces extremely unpleasant gastrointestinal symptoms with no long-term harm.

The listeria in this case was detected through routine sampling.

No illnesses have been reported as part of this recall.
